SAP has seven core components as ERP namely :
1. SAP MM (Materials Management):
This module of SAP caters to corporates Material Management. Business process related to material management. Majorly catering to :
Who can make career in SAP MM?
Qualification: Candidates having qualification BE/BTECH/ME/MTECH in Mechanical, Production and Electrical stream. Also, candidates having graduation and above qualification in Supply Chain Management.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Inventory OR Material Management OR Supply Chain will add advantage.
2. SAP PP (Product Planning) :
This is important core component of SAP ERP. This module of SAP caters to companies' business process related to Production Planning and Management. Majorly catering to :
Who can make career in SAP PP?
Qualification: Candidates having qualification like BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical OR Production stream.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Production Department experience will add advantage.
3. SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) :
This module of SAP caters to Sales and Distribution. This important core component module of SAP. This caters to business process related to product and customer management. Majorly catering to :
Who can make career in SAP SD?
Qualification: Any graduate from any stream is eligible for SAP SD.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in any of this Sales /Marketing/ Shipping & Billing, Customer Support will add advantage.
4. SAP FI (Financial Accounting) :
This module of SAP caters to Financial Accounting. This important core component module of SAP which caters to business process related to Finance. Majorly catering to :
Who can make career in SAP FI?
Qualification: Candidate having any graduation and above qualification in commerce stream is eligible for SAP FI. Qualifications like BCom, MCom, ICWA, CA Intern, CA, BBA/ MBA (Finance).
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting AND/OR Financial Management will add advantage.
5. SAP HCM (Human Capital Management)
This module of SAP caters to Human Resource Management. This important core component module of SAP which caters to business process related to Finance. Majorly catering to :
Who can make career in SAP HCM?
Qualification: Candidate having any graduation and above qualification in Human Resource Management stream like BBA/MBA (HR) are eligible for SAP HCM
Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in HR/L & D will add advantage.
6. SAP ABAP (Advance Business Application Programming Language):
This is high level programming language by SAP used for developing application program. This language is used for maintain SAP Platform and customization of pre-defined applications of SAP ERP platform. Majorly catering to :
Who can make career in SAP ABAP?
Qualification: Any graduate from information Technology/ Computers stream is eligible for SAP ABAP. BCS/BSc/MCS/MSc/BE/BTech/ME/MTech in IT OR Computers.
Experience: Programming experience can add advantage, freshers have equally very good opportunities of career in SAP ABAP.
7. SAP BASIS:
This is backbone for entire SAP systems, which largely caters to Administration of SAP IT infrastructure. Majorly catering to :

Qualification: Any graduate from information Technology/ Computers stream is eligible for SAP BASIS. BCS/BSc/MCS/MSc/BE/BTech/ME/MTech in IT OR Computers.
